Hi, I'm Lucas Heiser, proud owner and Master Technician at FixT Repair in Loma, Colorado. I'd like to share a bit about my journey and how I ended up in this rewarding world of automotive diagnostics and repair. Thank you for taking the time to learn more—I'm grateful for your interest!

My passion for fixing and building things started early. At just 10 years old, my mom bought me a build-your-own radio-controlled monster truck kit. I had it assembled, wired and custom-painted in two weeks, and from that moment, I was hooked on figuring out how things work and making them better.

When I was 15, I met an incredible mentor who shaped much of my hands-on skills: Frank Wilson in New Mexico. He was my friend's grandfather, running a shop where he rebuilt engines for ATVs, dirt bikes, and vehicles; diagnosed electrical systems from points ignition to CDI, welding, and taught me so much more. Frank, if you're reading this—thank you from the bottom of my heart for passing on your knowledge and sparking that fire in me.

At 16, I bought my first motorcycle—a Kawasaki Eliminator 250. That little bike got my feet wet, taught me the thrill of the open road, and truly ignited my lifelong love for Fixing everything with wheels. ( and some things that do not )

Life took me to North Dakota, where I applied my growing skills in the aviation industry. I built wire harnesses for military and commercial jets, earning certifications and advanced training in wiring, fiber optics, and circuit diagnostics.

Later, an opportunity in Colorado led me to oversee R&D for an avionics rework facility. There, I dove deeper into advanced wiring and even assisted with Skylink radio antenna designs for autonomous airplanes and drones, it was an amazing experience.

As those contracts wrapped up, I returned to college in Colorado, earning my Mechanical Engineering degree along with an HVACR certification. I worked a few short HVACR positions, but I kept finding myself drawn back to engines and circuits—the thrill of diagnosing and repairing them never faded.

That's when I started helping neighbors with generators, ATVs, chainsaws, concession trailers, and vehicles. For the last 8 years, I've also been working on heavy equipment—backhoes, loaders, tractors, forklifts, and more—further broadening my diagnostic and repair expertise.

I truly love what I do, and as they say, when you love your work, it doesn't feel like work at all.

So here we are today: FixT Repair, with over 35 years of repair and diagnostic experience at your disposal—spanning small engines, aviation electronics, EVs, motorcycles, heavy equipment, and everything automotive in between.
